Policy Analyst

Adam Jones is a Policy Analyst at the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center, focusing on early education policy and finance and state budget analysis.

Adam began his career as a direct care provider for individuals with severe mental illnesses with Vinfen Corporation in Boston, MA. As a manager of congregate care homes, Adam was responsible for assisting clients in treatment planning, securing benefits, and maintaining therapeutically appropriate housing arrangements.

Adam’s graduate work focused heavily on both the supply of and demand for childcare across the United States, with specific focus on the state of the childcare workforce. During a fellowship with the City of Boston’s Economic Mobility Lab, Adam conducted analysis and co-authored a report on results from the City’s annual Child Care Census Survey, which sought to understand the needs of families with young children across Boston. The father of a young child himself, Adam brings a deep passion for the well-being of children and families into his policy work.

Adam received a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Brandeis University and a master’s degree in public policy from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management.
